They're advertising that?
Okay, ladies, last night I saw a commercial in prime-time on the Spike channel for a "personal massager", at least that's what it was called. It was from Trojan, called the Tri-Phoria or something like that.
Now, I'm not asking for TMI, but what do you think about things like that being advertised on TV? And not even late-night? They even showed a picture of it! I was a little shocked, I have to say! And this coming from the woman whose hubby managed a Priscilla's for 5 years!

I would say that coming from Spike, that doesn't surpise me. That said, I don't even like Viagra commercials or the male enhancement commercials on the radio, so I probably wouldn't like the personal massager one either. Though, since Spike isn't public access, wouldn't it have different regulations to follow? Is the commercial on other, local channels?

Nothing worse than the "Shake Weight" commercials. IMHO, it is a front for self-satisfaction!

South Park had a TERRIBLE parody (funny as heck) but terrible parody of the Shake Weight.
At work, our clueless office manager came in with one when they very first came out. She was in the kitchen showing it to me and to one of the partners here - we both were laughing so hard we had to leave the room (lest he get charged with sexual harrassment
). She was like "what's so funny."

I was getting DS ready to go last night, so my back was to the TV, but I heard that commercial last night... Oh wow!
It was on either ESPN or Comedy Central.
On another note: What are the couple in the commercial going to do with three of them?

How about the "His and Her Lotions" they advertise during Friends re-runs? This is on in the late afternoon/early evening! I know the episodes well enough so I can censor what DD watches with me, but I never know when I have to run for the remote to fast forward through the commercials.

OK, What's wrong with using these commercials as a teachable moment? Sex is natural. So some of these aids aren't exactly natural but one would suppose, uh, hem, that they increase the pleasure that both partners have. Or so I've heard.
Don't make a big deal about it. Your younger kid hasn't got a clue and your older kid needs to know that talking to mom or dad about sex is like talking to them about baseball or shoes or music.

I don't think the Shake Weight is natural and I would hate to use it to teach about sex or pleasure!
