I guess the way to stop it is to think before we speak.

Sometimes people need a filter. You know the filter from the head to the fingers? Don't censor what you write or feel, but be aware. Simple.

For example: "That lady is ugly as sin"
Filtered: "Bless her heart, God broke the mold with her when it came to looks."

I, quite honestly, am stunned by what a little blog and the aftermath can do.

I write on this site because I love being a mom. Every week I get to explore the joy and emotion (and sometimes the pain) of parenting. It's been very eye opening for me. When I sit down to write, I'm shocked at what comes out. And, to be honest, while I love that all of you read, I don't write for you. I write for me. It's been very therapeutic.

I don't ever want there to come a time when it's a chore to write. Or, that I don't want to come here. That being said, I think it's o.k. to agree to disagree at times. That's what makes this place so great.

I am a big believer in the exchange of ideas. In healthy debate. I like the fact that I get to see diverse opinions on a daily basis because, at times, my work world is one size fits all and it can become tedious. Will we all come together and sing campfire songs? The answer is no.

While we've all come together for moms in need and bonded over meetups, the fact remains that we're all different. It's this diversity that brings us all back. After all, The Star advertises to "join the conversation (and, yes, they make money off us)" If it was the same convo every day, no one would return.

I'm hopping off my soap box now, which really irritates me because it added a good four or five inches to my frame. I just want to say this....I'm proud to be a mom. And, I'm very lucky to have you gals as friends. Oh, and finally, if you ever jack with me about my kid....it's over.
