Yikes! bluetooth chatting in the car
I got a new car recently and today took my first call using blue tooth hands free chatting. Is this even the right terminology? I don't know!
Anyhow. I wonder how much safer this is than holding the phone to your ear. It's suppose to be safer, right? Not sure if this is a good thing or not.
What's been your experience?

Re: Yikes! bluetooth chatting in the car
Our new car has something that syncs with my phone (DH set it up) and it seems to work well . . . I can even just let the kids talk to Nana while I am driving and I just tune it out like the radio. It seems to make it easier when driving in traffic in town as well. When DH has used it to call me I do notice a little more background noise, but not that bad. But I am not a regular user of it since I don't call many people, that being said the few times I have used it I do like it.
Hope that you are enjoying yours.

I bought a Jabra boothtooth for handsfree talking in my car - so, similar, but not built in.
I like it. I can talk & do short text messages & not have to worry about looking at my phone. Since my kids like to text, and I refuse to hands on text while driving, it is easier to respond to the kids (ie, coordinate pick up times).
