Would you recommend these Orthodontists?

Hi,

I have had a consultation with Dr. Heidi Harman in Olathe and Dr. Jeff Thompson in Leawood. Both have told me I need braces. I need to decide on one. Have any of you had any experience with either of them?

I don't know these 2 orthodontists. I do know that my son had his braces thru a program at UMKC dental school. For those unfamiliar with UMKC dental, the students perform dental procedures under the close watch of their dentist professors. Everything costs 1/3 of what other dentists charge, but it will take 3x as long to get it done. My dad got his dentures at UMKC.

I was impressed that they did good work and were very friendly. I'd recommend them. The hard part was the location (for me), behind Children's Mercy Hospital in KC MO, because it took us 30 minutes just to get there. Appointments for orthodontist work are sometimes scheduled every 2 weeks for 2+ years, and most orthodontists charge a LOT for braces.
