Article on Homeschooling

Article on Homeschooling

I found this article to be very interesting. I do disagree though that it's too hard to homeschool. I actually have a child in full public high school. That is harder, I feel I am not as supportive and also the social difficulties break my heart. But generally, a good article. http://siouxcityjournal.com/news/opinio ... 76a36.html

We are back to homeschooling, because of my daughters health issues. When I put her into public school in 7th grade .....they were learning things she had learned in 5th grade!!!!!

When our daughter was about to start school, we seriously considered home schooling her. However, given our two personalities -- she and I are equally stubborn -- my husband and I were pretty well convinced that she and I would butt heads too much. Sure enough, during here school career, she has always learned more easily and better from others than she does from me. Academic subjects, at least. Of course, there is so much that children learn at home that they never learn at school. And that's as it should be.
