I have taken my kids out of school for less. I think they need a break now and then. Of course, I won't take them out if they are behind on anything or their grades are bad...but if they are doing well...yeah, no problem.

Take them out of school for the Royals? Ummm....No.

Take them out of school for a Disney trip? In a heartbeat! :D

Neither of my kids are much into sports. Sure, they think it's exciting to go, but about 30-45 mintues into it -they're ready to go. (That's after I've already bribed them with a cotton candy, malt or lemonade treat).

We have done a few T-Bones games. They are cheaper, they have lawn seating where if it's not a busy game your kids can run off some energy, you can walk the kids to the playground and still see the game and they have a kids concession stand where everything is $1 and they do "games" between innings so there is something to break up the monotony of just baseball.
