Pre-Eclampsia is some serious stuff. Beware wall o Text.
I gave birth to my second on March 10th. I was going to be induced on the 13th, but he decided he didn't want to wait the 3 more days. I had a really rough time this pregnancy. I was in and out of the hospital at least 7 times that I remember for false labor or general back pain so bad I couldn't fu...

Re: My friend's 8 year old told me this joke
Right now, just the word pants is his new favorite joke. Anytime someone says pants, he belly laughs and then repeats if for an hour cracking himself up.

Re: PINTEREST
I've been fighting joining Pintrest for a long time. I got back into making Christmas baskets this year, and I've been out of the game so long I decided to check it out and see if I could find some new ideas for things to include. I'm a full blown addict now. Most of my pins though are crafts and sm...

My friend's 8 year old told me this joke
I thought it was quite clever.
How do you wake up Lady Gaga?
Poke her face.

Re: Snow-snow-snow-snow-snow
We've been couch potatoes. I keep asking the kid if he wants to go out, he says no. So we end up watching a DVD, or something. Then he'll decide at 9pm he wants to go out.
I'm still hoping that today after my dr. appt. he'll decide to stay outside and play a bit.

Re: Delivering At St. Luke's South or Overland Park Regional
I delivered at St. Luke South for my first son, and I'm going back for my second, in March as well, we might be neighbors! :) I loved it. I delivered 2 days before Christmas, the staff was wonderful, the room was comfortable. Our room had a fold out sofa bed for Dad, but was large enough if you have...

Got a date(s) set up!
Well, I'm waiting on a call from the office to tell me which date, but barring the new boy deciding to come early, I'm going to be induced either the 13th or the 18th of March. I'm technically due on the 22nd, but given his size we're going to go a little early to try and avoid any more problems.

I swear if I had this pregnancy first, we'd only have 1 kid
With the first kid, my pregnancy was a cake walk. Aside from gestational diabetes (which was fully diet controlled,) and dizzy spells if I stood too long in the heat, I had an easy pregnancy and labor. Even the nurses couldn't believe it when I was up the next morning at 8am showered, dressed, and e...

Almost Outback's Potato Soup
I found this on Pintrest, and in the last cold snap I made it, along beer cheese soup for the husband, and it was awesome. It was even better the next day. Here's the link, but I'll put the actual recipe after the link. http://pearls-handcuffs-happyhour.blogspot.com/2011/03/outback-aint-got-nothin-o...

Re: 2 weeks later and she's still here.
My mother took in a friend of mine in when I was in high school. She stayed so long I got tired of her being there all the time. She was still 15, so we ended up calling CPS and they made the 2 go to mediation and therapy. After about a month or 2, her mom and her worked it all out and she moved bac...
